Giant Vampire Squid

“The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it’s everywhere. The world’s most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.”

The quote above from Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone magazine has become legendary in the field of journalism. It comes from his July 2009 piece on the sins of the Manhattan-based investment banking firm Goldman Sachs. If you haven’t read it yet, you should.

And also read these recent articles that chronicle the steady expansion of Goldman’s influence:

Truthout’s article explains what I have been publicly saying since 2003. Folks, with all of our attention drawn to hysterical conspiracy theories involving a global communist takeover we have totally missed what has actually happened, which is a global CAPITALIST takeover, run by “the great merchants of the earth” (Rev.18:23) who are based in New York City:

“For years, tinfoil hat crazies who’ve bookmarked Glenn Beck’s websites and often appear as “experts” on Fox so-called News have warned us about a one-world government (here, here, and here). The latest threat, according to them, is Agenda 21 and the creation of a Soviet-style world authority that will confiscate private party everywhere, redistribute wealth to developing nations, and force us all to live by new global laws that sacrifice our national sovereignty. It’s totalitarian governments and not transnational corporations that we should be afraid of, they warn.

But when the tinfoil hat is removed, you can see that a sort of one-world government has already been established in a far more subtle form, through the rise of Goldman Sachs and their colleagues in the Wall Street elite.

A million questions arise when looking at what’s happening around the world. But many of these questions can be answered, once it’s acknowledged that Goldman Sachs alumni have executed a global coup d’etat.”

  1. After multiple tries it finally launched. I have friends who think it’s the end because Obama was re-elected. The next few years are going to make no sense to many.

  2. I just discovered this blog and have just been looking at article headings. Lots on the drawbacks of Capitalism but nothing on the drawbacks of Socialism or Communism.

  3. You can go anywhere else and hear about the drawbacks of communism and socialism. There are many, and to keep people from seriously critiquing capitalism we hear them loudly proclaimed. But Capitalism rules the day today, while Socialism is merely a failed attempt to fill the holes that a “pure” capitalism will always leave in its wake. You can read about God’s judgment on global capitalism in Revelation 18. However, not too much judgment will be coming against those who believe in 1 Timothy 6:17-19:

“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.”
    (1Ti 6:17-19)

  4. I had thought that in Revelation 18 ,Fascism would be the order of the day perhaps even some form of Socialism/Communism [ my grasp of exact definitions is limited]. Any absolute dictatorship will have its bankers and merchants to reward with riches. I had thought that God would not be judging an economic system, perhaps just a Satanic “Theocracy”. God judging his enemies at least.
Capitalism does of course have many drawbacks. It’s just that the nature of your blog as it appears to me, just frankly startled and shocked me. “Far Left”, “one sided” were things I thought. Anti Capitalism, Man caused Global Warming, Support for the Palestinians. All hallmarks of the Far Left [ in my limited experience at least].
The people of Gaza in a cage! Do you remember why the much maligned wall was built? To keep suicide bombers and other terrorists out. Perhaps Israelis have put themselves in a cage for protection.
If I keep going Peter I’ll just start rambling even more than I am now.

I bought and read “Red Moon Rising”. I’ve read many of your articles. I’ve scoured the internet for podcasts in which you were the guest.

I looked at your Blog and have come away dejected . But Hey! that’s my problem.

Here’s an idea! Peter Goodgame on PID Radio discussing with Derek and Sharon Gilbert the ideas behind his Blog.

  5. I’m sorry you are disappointed but I do plan to speak up more in the future and explain my unique perspective on the world today at the end of the age. I’m neither left wing or right wing, I’m under the shadow of HIS wing.

  6. Hi Peter, Great series of articles! As someone who lived through Thatcher’s ‘reforms’ in the UK in the late 70s & 80s, I can vouch for much of what you say. Please be assured that your views are shared by a growing number of Christians outside America. I commend you for your outstanding work. Yours sincerely in Christ, John.

  7. I thought I would try and give a point of view to “ghillie”, perhaps I can help, perhaps not.

What I am getting out of what Peter is saying is that ANY system, devised by man, to provide for man, will displace the work of our Lord to do provide for us, and will thus rob Him of His very deserving glory for doing so. Not only that, but no system can provide for us as well as He can, and we are falling far short of His desire for us. Socialism, fascism, communism are easy to see, capitalism is more insidious, but is still a displacement of God’s care for us directly, planetwide.

I don’t want to make Peter’s head big, but to me, he resembles an OT prophet. He has identified a trap of Satan, which is drawing and / or keeping people from God, deceiving us, and he is sounding the alarm, and stating the cost of ignoring that alarm.

It really has nothing to do with left or right government policies.

Not to put words in his mouth either, this is just what I am getting from what he is saying, and what I am getting is evolving as I absorb more and more of it.

  8. Well said Mr. Feldsine. I too see God’s annointing of prophecy on Peter Goodgame–not the fortune-telling that some false prophets make prophesy to be, but the biblical gift of prophesy.

And as long as Mr. Goodgame lives out 1 Corinthians 13:2 “though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” He’ll do just fine.
